Pietro Franco Tali

Pietro Franco Tali was born in Aglientu, in the province of Sassari, Sardinia, in 1949 and holds degrees in Business Economics and Political Science. He joined Saipem in 1993 and was appointed CEO in November 2000. Since August 2008 he is CEO and Deputy Chairman.

From 1981 to 1993 he worked for the textile machinery manufacturing company Savio, reaching the position of Administration, Finance and Control Manager.
From 1993 to 1996 he was Manager of Saipem S.p.A.'s Administration, Finance and Control Unit; he was also Managing Director and Chairman of some of the Saipem Group's foreign companies.
From 1996 to 1999 he was Saipem S.p.A.'s Finance and Control Managing Director.
From 1999 to 2000 he was Managing Director for Commercial Activities of Agip Petroli S.p.A.
